DAY 01: BEIJING

Today, embark on your exciting tour of China. Arrive at Beijing capital international airport.On arrival at Beijing you will be greeted by your friendly Discovery Holidays tour manager / local representative outside the baggage hall and transferred to your conveniently located hotel. DAY 02: BEIJING

After breakfast, proceed on a guided tour of the renowned Great Wall of China. Stretching to a length of 4163 miles it is one of the only man-made structures on Earth that can be seen from Space. Visit a Jade factory. Enjoy local Chinese Lunch. On your way back, you also get a chance to see the Olympics Venue of 2008 with its Aqua Theatre, the “Bird’s Nest” stadium and the dragon shaped Olympic Office. Today enjoy an Indian dinner at a local restaurant. Later, get a chance to enjoy the famous Golden Mask Dynasty show – an awe inspiring show with grand sets, colourful costumes and spectacular performances. Overnight at Hotel

DAY 03: BEIJING

After an American breakfast at the hotel, we proceed on an exciting sightseeing tour of this ancient city. Proceed on an exciting city tour of Beijing. Visit Tian’anmen Square, one of the largest squares in the world, named after the Tiananmen Gate (Gate of Heavenly Peace) located to its North, separating it from the Forbidden City. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several important events in Chinese history. We later see the Forbidden City which was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political centre of Chinese government. Visit a Pearl Factory. Enjoy a delicious Indian Lunch after which get set to visit to the magnificent Temple of Heaven which was built as a site for imperial sacrifices in the 15th century.Visit the Famous Summer Palace, a gorgeous imperial garden with over 3000 scenic spots. See the beautiful scenery as you enjoy a short boat ride on the Kunming Lake. Today enjoy an Indian dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at Hotel

DAY 04: LUOYANG

After an American breakfast, check out and take the state of the art high speed train to Zhenghzou. Enjoy local Chinese Lunch. Later visit the Shaolin Temple and enjoy the Shaolin Kongfu demonstration, a short training for Shaolin Kongfu in the most famous Kongfu Training School where there more then 15000 students from all over the world living here to get training. Proceed to Luoyang in the comfort of your coach. Tonight, enjoy a delicious Indian dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at hotel

DAY 05: XIAN

After breakfast at your hotel, visit the World Culture Heritage Longmen Caves & the first budhist Temple, the White Horse Temple where you can also visit the Indian style temple donated by the Indian Government in 2005. Enjoy Lunch at Indian Restaurant. Later board the state of the art high speed train to Xian. On arrival Visit the Ancient City Wall and See Wild Goose Pagoda with its Colourful Musical Fountain. Tonight, enjoy a delicious Indian dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at Hotel

DAY 06: CRUISE

After breakfast at your hotel, visit the famous Terracotta warriors; where you can see life-sized colourful terracotta warriors and horses arranged in battle formation. Also enjoy a 360 degree film presentation about the terracotta army; its history and formation. Enjoy Lunch at Indian Restaurant.Later take a flight to Chongqing. Arrive and proceed for a visit to the Panda Zoo. Here there are more 230 kinds of rare wild animals on display the most popular being the pandas itself. Later visit Three Gorge Museum and Goose Park. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Then transfer to the cruise terminal to board your Yangtze Cruise liner. Overnight on cruise.

DAY 07: CRUISE

After a buffet breakfast on the cruise, enjoy a tour of the Fengdu Ghost City. It is located on the Ming Mountain on the northern bank of the Yangtze River, Fengdu County is known to most Chinese as the ‘Ghost City’. After the excursion enjoy your local lunch on board the cruise. The afternoon is free for you to relax or enjoy host of activities on board the cruise. Enjoy local dinner on board the cruise. Overnight on board the cruise.

DAY 08: CRUISE

After an American breakfast on the cruise, sail through the three gorges- Outang, Wu and the Xiling Gorge. Taking a cruise on the Yangtze River offers something special, a means of getting up close to the heart of Asia. As the river winds its way through the 3 gorges to include the Wuxia Gorge, Xiling Gorge, and the Outang Gorge, you are treated to breathtaking views of lush greenery, stiff peaks, strange rock formations, unique caves, and amazing wildlife native to China. Also enjoy a shore excursion to Shennongni. Today enjoy a Chinese lunch and dinner on board. Overnight on board the cruise.

DAY 09: SHANGHAI

After an American breakfast, visit the Three Gorges Dam Project – one of World’s largest hydro electric dam. Disembark from the cruise and lunch at a local Chinese restaurant followed by a drive to Wuhan airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. Enjoy delicious dinner. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 10: SHANGHAI

Today, after an American breakfast, join us on an exciting city tour of Shanghai. Visit the Pudong New developing area. Then visit one of the most recognizable architectural symbols of Shanghai-the Bund. Enjoy a thrilling trip to the 88th floor of the world’s third tallest building-the Jin Mao tower. After a delicious lunch you have a chance to visit the pearl factory. In the evening enjoy a sumptuous Indian dinner. Overnight at Hotel

DAY 11: SHANGHAI

Today, after an American breakfast, join us on an exciting tour. Visit the world renowned Shanghai Museum with a collection of 120,000 precious works of art, followed by a visit to the Yufo (Jade Buddha) Temple. Enjoy a delicious Indian lunch. Later you have some free time for bargain shopping at the famous Nanjing Road. In the evening, get ready to enjoy the famous acrobatic show where top artists display their prowess at trick cycling, spinning, juggling and Chinese dancing. DAY 12: Departure
