The church of “Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health” is situated at Nagapattananm district in Tamil Nadu is one of the most revered churches of India. Situated in the small beach front town of Velankanni in the south India state of Tamil Nadu, this beautiful monument is visited by millions every year.

• DAY 01: Trichy Cultural Tour

  After breakfast start a cultural tour of Trichy. It was the citadel of the Chola dynasty in the medieval period. In the 18th century it witnessed the Carnatic wars fought between the French and the English. Lord Robert Clive's house is still there to see and so is the Danish Church. The Tiruchirappalli Rock Fort is one of the most famous landmarks with a climb of 434 steps that lead to the ancient temple of Ganapati on top and a further climb to a Shiva Temple. Visit Srirangam and Triruvanaikovil. Overnight stay in Trichy.

• DAY 02: Trichy- Tanjore

  Velankanni After breakfast take a morning ride to Velankanni, en-route to Tanjore. In Tanjore, visit the beautiful Chola Temple, an UNSECO Heritage Site, of Brihadeshwara is capped by a monolithic cupola made of a single granite block weighing 80 tons. It was taken to the top with the help of a 6-km-long ramp, which is an old technique used by the Egyptians for building pyramids. Its bronzes and handicrafts make Tanjore one of the highlights in South India. After lunch drive to the famous Church of our Lady of Velankanni. It is believed that the church was built on the prompting of a vision of lady with child in arms and it is a place of pilgrimage for Christians all over the country. Overnight stay in Velankanni.

• DAY 03: Velankanni

  There is no itinerary planned for the day. After breakfast relax for the rest of the day and go shopping and then transfer to the Tiruchirappalli International Airport for your onward journey.
